PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combination oil ring in which carbon sludge or the like is not accumulated between side rails and a spacer expander even if an internal combustion engine is operated for a long period of time.SOLUTION: A combination oil ring comprises a pair of flat and annular vertical side rails which are arranged in an oil ring groove of a piston, and a spacer expander which is arranged between a pair of the vertical side rails. The spacer expander comprises upper pieces and lower pieces which are alternately arranged in a plurality of pieces in a peripheral direction while separating from each in an axial direction and the peripheral direction, a connecting piece which connects the adjacent upper piece and the lower piece, and ear parts which are erectly formed at ends of the upper pieces and the lower pieces at an internal peripheral side, and press the side rails. Side rail support parts abutting on the side rails are protrusively arranged at an end of at least one face at an external peripheral side of the upper face of the upper piece and the lower face of the lower piece, and the side rail support parts have inclined faces which are inclined to the side rails from an abutment part with the side rails.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
