PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radioactive substance removal system capable of suppressing degradation of its performance.SOLUTION: The radioactive substance removal system comprises: a chamber having an internal space; an air supply pipe into which air in an external space of the chamber can flow; a volcanic ash filter unit arranged in the internal space, and having a volcanic ash filter capable of removing volcanic ash contained in air supplied from the air supply pipe; an air blower arranged in the internal space, and for sucking air through the volcanic ash filter unit so that air in the external space flows into the air supply pipe; an air purification filter unit arranged outside the chamber, and having an iodine filter capable of removing radioactive substances contained in air supplied from the air blower; a connection pipe through which air to be supplied from the air blower to the air purification filter flows; a branch pipe through which air to be returned from the air blower to the internal space flows; and a pressure regulating valve disposed on the branch pipe, and for regulating pressure of the internal space so that it becomes higher than pressure of the external space.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
