PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminate which exhibits different light transmission states in an area with a light control layer and an area without when switched between a shielding mode and transmission mode, the area with a light control layer being designed to exhibit high contrast.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a laminate comprising a pair of polarizers, at least two patterned optically anisotropic layers disposed between the pair of polarizers, and a light control layer disposed between the pair of polarizers, where each patterned optically anisotropic layer has first retardation regions and second retardation regions having different polarizance to each other, which are stripe-shaped and alternately arranged in a plane thereof, and where the light control layer exhibits an in-plane retardation Re(550) of 10 nm or greater.
