PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damper capable of reliably blocking a channel.SOLUTION: A damper 1 includes: a shaft part 4 which inputs a torque from one end side thereof; and a rectangular cover. When a channel is blocked by the cover, a sponge member is interposed between a casing which forms the channel and the cover. A plurality of ribs 7 extended in directions vertical to the axial direction Dx are arranged on a prescribed rib region 8 on the cover. The rib region 8 is extended toward the shaft part 4 from a curve L1 drawn toward a shear force direction variation position B on which the direction of a shear force of the cover varies in the axial direction from a first corner part C1, and from a curve L2 drawn toward the shear force direction variation position B from a second corner part C2. The shear force direction variation position B is located on such a part that the rib region 8 is most retired to the shaft part 4 side with respect to an edge 52 from the first corner part C1 to the second corner part C2. A length of the rib 7 extended from the shaft part 4 side is decided by the curve L1 and the curve L2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
