PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the problem of generation of data to be glanced over caused by decimation of data for every several dots with respect to read raster data when printing is performed in the print mode of column decimation in a configuration where the raster data is stored in a print buffer for storing the recording data of one scanning.SOLUTION: When printing is performed for every M columns, recording data is divided into M to be stored in a print buffer. When data is multivalued, or column decimation printing is not performed, the data is stored in the print buffer without being divided. When the data stored in the print buffer is multivalued, and printing is performed for every M columns, the recording data divided into M to be stored is switched for each scanning of a recording head to be read. When the data stored in the print buffer is multivalued, and colum decimation printing is not performed, the data is read without switching an area to be read.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
