PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turtle capture device which utilizes a habit of shell-sunbathing of a turtle, does not need a complicated structure, can capture a turtle continuously and efficiently, and can prevent a captured turtle from escaping.SOLUTION: A floating island type turtle capture device is composed of: a bowl-shaped member 10 opened on a bottom face, including a flange 12 on an upper face peripheral part, attached with a capture net 13 in a bottom face opening 11, and formed of a material having a smooth surface; and a tabular float member 20 having an opening formed in a flat face center part and attached with a net-like guide plate 22 arranged on a side edge part and enabling a turtle to crawl up thereon. The bowl-shaped member 10 is fitted in the opening of the tabular float member 20 and hung/fixed with the flange 12, and thereby both members are integrated. The floating island type turtle capture device can be arranged while floating on a water surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
