PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the simplification, space saving, and cost reduction of an apparatus by sharing a part of a configuration in a mechanism for separating an intermediate transfer belt from a photoreceptor drum and a mechanism for separating a secondary transfer roller from the intermediate transfer belt.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes a contact/separation mechanism 131 which moves an intermediate transfer belt 125 in a direction separating from a photoreceptor drum 121Bk, when an image is not formed, a secondary transfer roller 210 which transfers a toner image formed on the surface of the intermediate transfer belt 125 to a paper sheet, and a pressing part 211 which presses the secondary transfer roller 210 toward the intermediate transfer belt 125. When the intermediate transfer belt 125 is moved in the direction separating from the photoreceptor drum 121Bk, the guide frame 20 of the contact/separation mechanism 131 presses the pressing part 211, to release the secondary transfer roller 210 from the pressing of the pressing part 211 and separate the secondary transfer roller 210 from the intermediate transfer belt 125.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
