A power conversion apparatus including a DC-AC conversion unit (2) for converting a direct current into an alternating current, a transformer (4) for receiving the alternating current converted by the DC-AC conversion unit (2), and an AC-DC conversion unit (3) for converting the alternating current from the transformer (4) into the direct current, configured to have plural unit modules (1) each including the DC-AC conversion unit (2), the transformer (4), and the AC-DC conversion unit (3), and are connected in parallel at an input side of the DC-AC conversion unit (2), and connected in series at an output side of the AC-DC conversion unit (3). The transformer (4) in the unit module (1) is a multiple winding transformer (4), including the AC-DC conversion unit (3) for each secondary winding of the transformer (4). High-voltage circuits in the unit modules (1) are all stored in an oil-immersed housing (7). |
