The invention relates to a window sill (5) for covering a parapet comprising a parapet cover element (13), at least one terminating part (17) which is connected to the parapet cover element (13) in the region of a front face (14) and at least one end piece (18), which has a substantially U-shaped profile open towards the parapet cover element (13) and interspaced first and second limbs (22, 23) interconnected by means of a base web (24). The second limb (23) of the end piece (18), said limb lying adjacent to the underside (15) of the parapet cover element (13), overhangs the terminating part (17) in the direction of the longitudinal extension of the parapet cover element (13). A sealing element (33) is situated and extends between the underside (15) of the parapet cover element (13) and a section of the second limb (23) of the end piece (18), said section overhanging the terminating part (17), and the sealing element is connected to both the underside (15) of the parapet cover element (13) and the second limb (23) of the end piece (18).
