摘要 A method identifies a handwritten character from stroke data and maps the handwritten character to a user-specific font character (e.g. a custom font based on the users handwriting) based on the stroke data. Character encoding corresponding to the users specific font character is then stored. Character encoding may further include size, orientation and horizontal scaling. Mapping may include determining a deviation between stroke data and a user specific font matching the handwritten character and generating a new font character based on the stroke data in response to the deviation exceeding a character variant threshold or generating a new font character based on stroke data in response to stroke data not matching any font character of the font set. Stroke data may be variant in response to mapping the handwritten character to a user specific font character. Input may be from a touch screen, touch panel, digitiser, digital pen, scanner, imager or digital camera. The method may reduce a system storage of stroke data.
