PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce deterioration in processing quality caused by variation of areas of spot light, with a simple structure.SOLUTION: The laser processing device comprises: a laser oscillator that emits laser light; a scanning portion that deflects the laser light emitted from the laser oscillator to scan a processed surface of a work-piece; and a converging portion that is provided between the laser oscillator and the scanning portion and converges the laser light emitted from the laser oscillator. The converging portion is set so as to converge the laser light at a position separated by a distance from a position to which is orthogonally irradiated the laser light to the farthest point on the processed surface of the work-piece, relative to the position to which is orthogonally irradiated the laser light.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
