PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiving device and a receiving method that enable a user to easily recognize that a program, recorded by a device for receiving digital broadcasting to record the digital broadcasting in a recording medium, is a 3D picture program.SOLUTION: In a receiving device for receiving a digital broadcasting signal which is broadcasted while 3D picture program content and 2D picture program content are mixed with each other, and generating and recording program information on a recording medium together with picture program content. The receiving device determines whether the received program content is the 3D picture program content or the 2D picture program content on the basis of the program content and identification information for identifying whether the program content is the 3D picture program content or the 2D picture program content, and records information representing whether the program content is the 3D picture program content in the program information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 63 |
