PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to securely notify a controller whose normal communication with a communication partner is disabled when abnormality has occurred in a network, that the normal communication has been disabled.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle communication system 1 includes relay function-added controllers 11 to 13 comprising switches 21 to 23, each controller including means for determining whether a switch is normal or abnormal and means for transmitting switch abnormality information showing a switch whose abnormality has been determined when the switch has been determined to be abnormal, to a master controller 10 through a communication line 52. When having received the switch abnormality information, the master controller 10, from an ECU information table 6, identifies a controller, a target to be notified that normal communication with a communication partner is disabled when abnormality has occurred in a switch shown by the switch abnormality information;and transmits communication abnormality information for notifying that the normal communication with the communication partner is disabled to the identified controller via communication lines 51, 52.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
