PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic control valve capable of improving manufacturing work efficiency and assembly work efficiency, and a valve timing control device using the hydraulic control valve.SOLUTION: A hydraulic control valve comprises: a valve body 26 which has a hollow interior, retardation and advance ports 36 and 37 circulating a hydraulic fluid in a radial direction of a peripheral wall being formed to pass through the valve body; a spool valve 27 provided in the valve body 26 to be movable in an axial direction, and switching opening/closing of the ports 36 and 37 in response to a moving position; and a single sleeve 28 which has a hollow interior, which is fixedly disposed on an outer peripheral surface of the valve body 26 along the axial direction, and which has retardation and advance passage holes 45 and 46 formed to pass through the sleeve in the radial direction of the peripheral wall and advance and retardation communication grooves 47 and 48 formed in an inner peripheral surface of the peripheral wall along the axial direction and communicating the passage holes 45 and 46 with the corresponding ports 36 and 37, respectively, at least one of axial ends of each of the advance and retardation communication grooves being open.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
