PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a duty-free article purchase support system and method, as well as a server device that help tourists understand articles, and support the tourists from a selection of the article, and purchase thereof to a determination of duty-free conditions with a consistent scheme.SOLUTION: A server device 3 comprises: a communication unit 22 that receives location information, language information and article ID which are transmitted from a portable terminal; a store specification unit 21b that specifies a store ID on the basis of the location information with reference to a store DB24; a language specification unit 21c that specifies a language on the basis of the language information; a display screen creation unit 21d that extracts article explanation information corresponding to the language of the article explanation information corresponding to the article ID from an article DB25, extracts unique information corresponding to the store ID, and creates prescribed screen data on the basis of the article explanation information and the unique information; and a main control unit 21a that transmits the screen data via the communication unit 22, and facilitates displaying a screen corresponding to the article selected by a customer in the portable terminal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
