PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately align a discharge position of liquid by a line head with a medium position.SOLUTION: A liquid discharge device 1 comprises: a transportation section 10 for a medium P; a line head 19 in which nozzles N discharging liquid in an intersection direction B intersecting with a transportation direction A of the medium P are disposed side-by-side; a scanning sensor 20 moving in the intersection direction B and being capable of detecting an end portion 25 of the medium P in the intersection direction B; and a control section 34 controlling discharge of the liquid on the basis of detection results of the scanning sensor 20 while controlling movement of the scanning sensor 20 in the intersection direction B.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
