PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device that can acquire a high-definition recording image signal or a focus detection signal from each of two image pick-up elements.SOLUTION: A pair of pupil regions AFPa1-e and AFPb1-e of an exit pupil through which a light flux to be received by photoelectric conversion units 101a and 101b of an image pick-up element 101 passes, and a pair of pupil regions AFPa2-e and AFPb2-e of the exit pupil through which a light flux to be received by photoelectric conversion units 102a and 102b of an image pick-up element 102 passes are overlapped on each other. When a base line length GP1 which is a distance between center of gravity of the pupil region AFPa1-e and center of gravity of the pupil region AFPb1-e and a base line length GP2 which is a distance between center of gravity of the pupil region AFPa2-e and center of gravity of the pupil region AFPb2-e are shorter than a diameter of the exit pupil, an imaging device is characterized in that the GP2 is greater than the GP1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 |
