PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for combining outputs of a plurality of semiconductor light-emitting devices for generating digital output.SOLUTION: A system comprises a device that can efficiently produces a highly resolved intensity profile that can be easily switched to various specific configurations having binary word strings defining output intensities, then, a total amount of the output intensities is combined to form a single colors intensity concentration. Arraying these devices allows an image line of single color pixels to be efficiently produced without overall fluorescence action. Non-coherent output is desirable in this application as it reduces fluorescence action on a screen or a final image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
