PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means for improving printing quality by improving the accuracy of the conveyance speed of a belt.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus for forming an image on a medium conveyed by the belt or transferring the image formed on the belt to the medium includes a conveyable belt, a drive control part for controlling the conveyance speed of the belt, a plurality of image forming parts which are arranged along the conveyance direction of the belt and sequentially form the images of the developers of respective colors on the belt, image detection means for detecting the image formed on the belt, and a control part for correcting the conveyance speed of the belt by the drive control part on the basis of the detection results of the images formed by the plurality of image forming parts detected by the image detection means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
