PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical member and an optical module in which stress transmitted to an optical component can be reduced.SOLUTION: An optical member 100 comprises a stub 10 (optical component) that holds an optical fiber 12 thereinside, a stub holding part 20 (holder) for holding the stub, and a housing part 40 that houses the stub holding part and is provided with an outer wall welded to another member. The outer wall of the stub holding part has a region 21a being in contact with an inner wall of the housing part and a region 21b being spaced from the inner wall of the housing part, inside the housing part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
