PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fall detection device capable of suppressing power consumption for detecting a fall state.SOLUTION: A fall detection device comprises: an acceleration measuring part; a sampling cycle setting part for setting a sampling cycle of the acceleration measuring part to a fall detection cycle which is longer than the sampling cycle for the acceleration measuring time, when a signal is input from the elevator; and a fall state determination part which determines an occurrence of fall according to a direction of gravity acceleration measured by the acceleration measuring part at the fall detection cycle set by the sampling cycle setting part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
