PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such the problem that a seat back adjusting device of a vehicle seat for holding a seating posture of a seated person when traveling a sharp curve cannot be provided inside the conventional seat back without changing the configuration of the seat back.SOLUTION: Left and right side arms 40 (40 L, 40R) whose lower ends are connected to connection shafts 50 (50 L, 50R) and which can be tilted in a longitudinal direction with the connection shafts as a center are provided in lower parts of side frames of a seat back. Raised amounts (tilt angles) of the left and right side arms 40 in a forward direction are determined respectively based on data of a vehicle and data of a seated person. Fist and second drive means 52 L, 52R are driven according to the raised amounts. The left and right connection shafts are independently turned by the drive of the drive means and the left and right side arms 40 are tilted in the forward direction. The side arms push out seat pads of seat back side parts (raised parts), and the raised parts sandwich the seated person to prevent the seated person from falling.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
