PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation apparatus such that the total power consumption of a fixing unit is suppressed from increasing.SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus comprises a fixing unit having infrared irradiation means of irradiating a recording medium on which a liquid developer including a coloring agent and a cationic polymerizable monomer having a C-H bond is provided with infrared rays, and ultraviolet irradiation means of irradiating the liquid developer with ultraviolet rays, λ1 being more on a short-wavelength side than λ2, where the λ1 is a peak wavelength, due to the C-H bond, of an infrared absorption spectrum of the cationic polymerizable monomer, and the λ2 is a half-value wavelength at which spectral energy density of the infrared rays emitted by the infrared irradiation means is 50% (a half-value wavelength on a long wavelength side when there are two half-value wavelengths present).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 |
