摘要 A method for operating a transducer system for automated recognition of objects in the environment of a vehicle 10 are proposed. The method comprises the steps of operating the transducer system 11 in a first operating mode, in which a first directional effect of the transducer system 11 is achieved, recognising a changed vehicle situation or a changed steering angle and in response thereto operating the transducer system in a second operating mode, in which a second directional effect of the transducer is achieved, the directional effect existing during the transmitting and/or during the receiving of signals S. The changed vehicle situation may be one of acceleration, speed, inclination, direction, type of road, traffic information, or network information. The transducer system 11 may be part of a blind spot assistance system, and may use acoustic signals, such as ultrasonic signals. A second transducer system, monitoring a region rotated by more than 90 degrees from the first monitored region may also be used. The vehicle may substantially inclinable, such as a motorcycle.
