PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron-type golf club head capable of improving the flying distance and directionality of a ball hit by an average golfer.SOLUTION: Provided is an iron-type golf club head 1 having a club face 4, characterized by satisfying the following requirements (1) to (4): (1) the loft angle of the club head is 41 degrees or less, (2) the thickness of the club head is 23 mm or less, (3) the height of the club face measured along the club face 4 at the position of the most toe-side end of score lines is 53 mm or more, and (4) in a standard state of the club head set on a horizontal plane HP at the lie angle and loft angle specified for the club head, the ratio M/Sh (g cm/mm) of a moment M of inertia (g cm) around a first axis 11 passing through a sweet spot SS in parallel with the club face 4 and orthogonally to the score lines, to a sweet spot height Sh (mm) which is the vertical height from the horizontal plane HP to the sweet spot SS is 152 or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
