PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a posture detector and a method for detection of a posture by which improvement in accuracy of detection of a posture of a hung movable body can be achieved.SOLUTION: A posture detector 100 for detecting a posture of a hook sheep hung from a movable trolley of a crane comprises a three-axis acceleration sensor 120 provided on the hook sheep, a three-axis gyro sensor 110 provided on the hook sheep, and a calculation part 103 for calculating a posture of the hook sheep. The calculation part 103 calculates a linear speed by use of detection linear acceleration data from the three-axis acceleration sensor 120 accompanying correction with use of a travel speed of the hook sheep by the trolley, and corrects detection angular speed data from the three-axis gyro sensor 110 by use of a differential speed between the linear speed and the travel speed and a characteristic frequency of the hook sheep based on a hanging length of the hook sheep from the trolley thereby calculating a posture angle of the hook sheep.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
