PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abrasive grain that can maintain conductivity in plating liquid and hardly falls off from a base material to which the abrasive grain is electro-deposited.SOLUTION: The abrasive grain 2 includes an abrasive grain body 5 formed of diamond or CBN of which whole surface is coated with a metal. Part of the coating metal is subjected to nitriding treatment, carbonizing treatment or boriding treatment to vary the conductivity of the abrasive grain.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
