PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell capable of suppressing an oxygen reduction reaction accompanied with by-production of hydrogen peroxide.SOLUTION: A fuel cell 1 comprises: a membrane electrode assembly 2 including an electrolyte membrane 7, an anode 8 that is formed on one face of the electrolyte membrane 7, and a cathode 9 that is formed on the other face of the electrolyte membrane 7; an anode-side separator 5 that is disposed at one side of the membrane electrode assembly 2; and a cathode-side separator 6 that is disposed at the other side of the membrane electrode assembly 2. Between the cathode 9 and the cathode-side separator 6, a porous body 4 that does not contain carbon is disposed so as to directly contact with the cathode 9.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
