PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To implement improvement of reliability of elements in a power conversion device and a motor device.SOLUTION: A power conversion device comprises an inverter and a control unit. The inverter includes a plurality of upper and lower arms comprising a switching element made of a wide bandgap semiconductor. The control unit, when overcurrent has flown in the inverter, switches off a first arm that is one of the upper and lower arms and is disposed on a path of the overcurrent; and, after having switched on a second arm forming a pair with the first arm (a period 1 → a period 2), switches off the second arm depending on current having flown in the second arm (the period 2 → a period 3).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
