Provided is an agent for suppressing the odors of polysulfide compounds. This agent for suppressing the odors of polysulfide compounds represented by formula (I) contains, as an active ingredient, at least one selected from the group consisting of butyl 2-methylbutanoate, α-terpinene, dipentene, cis-4-heptenal, 1,4-cineol, trimethylhexyl aldehyde and (+)-limonene oxide. Formula (I): R1-[S]n-R2 (in the formula, R1 and R2 may be the same or different and each denotes a linear-chain or branched-chain alkyl or alkenyl group having 1-6 carbon atoms, and n denotes an integer between 2 and 5 inclusive). |
