PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of changing the sequence number length of an RLC PDU, while restraining deterioration in throughput.SOLUTION: A user device communicates with a base station in a mobile communication system supporting LTE. The user device comprises: reception means for receiving an instruction to change the sequence number length of an RLC PDU from the base station; reestablishment means for performing a reestablishment process of an RLC entity upon receiving the instruction; and communication means for communicating with the base station by using an RLC PDU with the sequence number length changed after the completion of the reestablishment process.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
