PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque converter device which enables improvement of vehicle start performance especially at a highland.SOLUTION: A torque converter device includes a pump impeller, a turbine runner, and a stator disposed between the pump impeller and the turbine runner. The torque converter device transmits rotational power from the pump impeller to the turbine runner through a working fluid. The torque converter device further includes: a torque converter case which houses the pump impeller, the turbine runner, and the stator; and a fluid amount variable mechanism which reduces an amount of the working fluid in the torque converter case as an ambient atmospheric pressure decreases.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
