PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radioactive gas monitoring device capable of reliably and stably detecting leakage of a primary coolant in a reactor containment vessel.SOLUTION: The radioactive gas monitoring device is provided with: a specimen container; a plastic scintillation detector that outputs first detection signal pulses; an inorganic crystal scintillator detector that outputs second detection signal pulses; a first measurement unit that uses the first detection signal pulses to calculate and output a first counting rate, and outputs a first alarm when the first counting rate is larger than a preset first level and outputs a second alarm when the first counting rate is larger than a second level larger than the first level; and a second measurement unit that uses the second detection signal pulses to calculate and output a second counting rate and outputs a third alarm when the second counting rate is larger than a preset third level.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
