FURNITURE ATTACHMENT AND ELECTRIC CONNECTOR AS EXAMPLE THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a furniture attachment such as an electric connector represented by a plug socket, the furniture attachment having a form which is capable of being fixed not to be rotated with one screw and can cope with left usage and right usage with one kind.SOLUTION: A plug socket 24 is thin and can be fixed on an inner side face of an outer side plate 5 of a shelf device 4. A general connection port 27 favorable for power supply to portable equipment is formed on a main connection face 25 as a front face of the plug socket 24. Wide width face of the plug socket 24 comprises an attachment face 37a facing the outer side plate 5 and the attachment face 37a includes two opened upper/lower screw holes 58. A positioning pin 63 is screwed into one screw hole 58 and a screw 64 is screwed into the other screw hole 58. The plug socket 24 can be used in left usage and right usage by being inverted in a right/left direction and an upper/lower direction. By means of presence of the positioning pin 63, the plug socket can be held in a stable state not to be rotated in insertion/removal of a plug 28.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
