PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint method capable of obtaining high joint strength.SOLUTION: A joint method includes: an overlapping process of forming an overlapping part J1 by overlapping first and second metallic members 1 and 2; an inner corner joint process of carrying out a frictional agitation joint by inserting agitation pins of joint tools for the inner corners into an inner corner U2 formed of an end face 1c of the first metallic member 1 and a rear face 2b of the second metallic member 2, and an inner corner U1 formed of a surface 1a of the first metallic member 1 and an end face 2c of the second metallic member 2; and a first original joint process of carrying out the frictional agitation joint of the overlapping part J1 by relatively moving a rotation tool G along the overlapping part J1 in such a state as inserting the rotation tool G from a surface 2a side and as contacting the agitation pin G2 of the rotation tool G with the second metallic member 2 only or both of the first and second metallic members 1 and 2. The method is characterized by performing the frictional agitation joint while pushing a shoulder part G1 in the surface 2a of the second metallic member 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
