PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a fault that an artifact occurs in the periphery of a line image.SOLUTION: An image processing device of the present invention is configured so as to have: representative image data generation means for generating first intermediate image data from starting point image data, generating starting point image data of a next resolution from the first intermediate image data, generating second intermediate image data from the first intermediate image data, generating first representative image data at a prescribed resolution from the first intermediate image data and second intermediate image data, generating second representative image data at a prescribed resolution from the starting point image data and first intermediate image data, and repeating a series of processes using the starting point image data of the next resolution as starting point image data of a prescribed resolution; representative image data manipulation means for performing a prescribed operation on the generated representative image data; and reconstruction means for reconstructing the brightness component of image data on the basis of the manipulated first and second representative image data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
