PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser light source device and display unit, capable of suppressing generation of speckle noise.SOLUTION: The present invention comprises: semiconductor lasers (231, 232, 233); a current supply part (200) for supplying a driving current of the semiconductor laser; a signal generation part (100) for generating current intensity data showing an intensity of the driving current. The signal generation part generates a plurality of different current intensity data for input continuous data signals of the same color, sequentially switches the current intensity data and transmits the data to the current supply part. The current supply part drives semiconductor laser on the basis of the plurality of different current intensity data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
