PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a magnet composed mainly of nanopowder and having magnetic anisotropy; and a method for manufacturing a magnet capable of manufacturing a magnet having magnetic anisotropy by using nanopowder without sintering.SOLUTION: A magnet includes a molded body containing nanopowder composed of a magnet material. A maximum energy product BHmax is measured in an optional direction, and a direction having the maximum value is taken as an orientation direction. A difference between a reference value using the maximum value as being 1, and a relative value obtained by dividing the maximum energy product BHmax in a direction orthogonal to the orientation direction by the maximum value is taken as an orientation index. The orientation index of the magnet is 0.15 or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
