PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage regulator capable of suppressing variations in output voltage and stably operating even when there are variations in power supply voltage.SOLUTION: A voltage regulator comprises: a first input terminal connected to a drain of an output transistor; a second input terminal connected to a power supply terminal; an overshoot detecting circuit connected to the first input terminal; a power supply voltage detecting circuit connected to the second input terminal; and a control circuit. The control circuit passes boost current to an error amplifier circuit when output voltage and power supply voltage significantly fluctuate more than a prescribed voltage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
