A method for treating a glove to impart water and/or oil resistance to the glove. The glove has a fabric portion (102) and a polymer coating (101) over a fabric portion to improve the glove's grip. The treatment involves contacting the fabric and polymer portions of the glove with a fluorocarbon polymer at a temperature between 60°C and 130°C.
