The invention relates to an angle-based signal processing of input signals in a rotational system. In the rotational system, input signals are sampled at predetermined times and an angle in the rotational system is calculated at each sampling time. The sampled input signals are then processed further by using the calculated angles. In this way, reliable and error-free processing of the input signals is possible even in the case of a fluctuating rotational frequency or a direction reversal in the rotational system.
