PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that peaking is conventionally displayed for all edges from front to back in an image, regardless of the distance of a subject, and since the information of the place other than the subject of focus is displayed, it is difficult to judge the shutter opportunity.SOLUTION: An imaging device includes imaging means, processing means for extracting the edge component in an image obtained by the imaging means, and emphasizing the edge component extracted from the image, display means for showing the focus degree of the subject, by displaying the image subjected to the processing for emphasizing the edge component by the processing means, information acquisition means for acquiring the distance information of the subject in the image, and identification means for identifying a certain subject in the image.
