PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic sensor in which two pieces of output information are equivalent to one another.SOLUTION: The magnetic sensor has: a first magnetic detection element group G11 and a second magnetic detection element group G12 including a plurality of self pinned magnetoresistance effect elements M; and a first control section and a second control section processing a detection signal when a magnetic field is detected by the respective magnetoresistance effect elements M of the first magnetic detection element group G11 and the second magnetic detection element group G12. At least two magnetoresistance effect elements M of the first magnetic detection element group G11 and the second magnetic detection element group G12 have pinned magnetization directions (D1, D2, D3, D4) different to each other. The plurality of magnetoresistance effect elements M of the first magnetic detection element group G11 and the plurality of magnetoresistance effect elements M of the second magnetic detection element group G12 are arranged so that the magnetization directions (D1, D2, D3, D4) are symmetrical.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
