PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an addition product of a metathesis polymer useful in various applications.SOLUTION: There is provided an addition product by reacting an unsaturated metathesis polymer or an unsaturated metathesis inter polymer with an unsaturated diacid anhydride represented by the following formula of about 0.1 to about 50 wt.% based on weight of the polymer. There is provided an unsaturated metathesis polymer addition product having number average molecular weight of 1 to 14 kg/mol, a chain of the addition product having 2 to 25 double bonds per 100 carbon atoms in the polymer, 0.1 to 33 wt.% of side chain anhydride, cis percentage content of 52 to 70% the melting point of lower than 10°C and crystallization degree of lower than 3%.
