PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a sense of unity between a driver and a vehicle by coinciding a deceleration feeling imparted to the driver with an acceleration feeling by performing control taking jerk occurring at deceleration time of the vehicle into consideration.SOLUTION: A control device (ECU50) for engine includes: a target acceleration setting unit 50b for setting target acceleration of a vehicle based on an accelerator opening detected by an accelerator opening detection unit 50a; and an engine control unit 50c for controlling engine torque so that the target acceleration preset by the target acceleration setting unit 50b is achieved. The target acceleration setting unit 50b sets the target acceleration according to the accelerator opening in such a manner that a change characteristic of jerk occurring in a vehicle with respect to the accelerator opening change when the accelerator opening decreases is correlated with a change characteristic of the jerk occurring in the vehicle with respect to the accelerator opening change when the accelerator opening increases in the same change mode as the time when the accelerator opening decreases.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10 |
