An MCM heat exchanger 10 used in a magnetic heat-pump device 1 is provided with bundle 11 of a plurality of wire members 12, and a cover layer 13 for covering the bundle 11. The wire members 12 are configured from a magnetocaloric material that exhibits a magnetocaloric effect. The cover layer 13 includes a tubular part 14 for surrounding the bundle 11 and a filler 15 that fills the space between the tubular part 14 and the outer periphery of the bundle 11.
