This endoscope system includes: an elongated insertion unit (1) which has an illumination unit (3) that emits an illumination light (L1) toward a subject (S), an imaging unit (4) that images the subject (S), and a channel; and an illumination device (2) which is disposed inside the channel (9), wherein the illumination device (2) has a divergence angle smaller than that of the illumination light (L1). The imaging unit (4) has an illumination unit (10) that emits an illumination light (L2) with sensitivity toward the subject (S) and a drawing member (11) that extends outside the channel (9) from a base end of the illumination unit (10), the illumination unit (10) being removable from inside the channel (9) by being drawn by the drawing member (11). |
