PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a workpiece conveyance system and a workpiece conveyance method capable of avoiding contact of a workpiece with a vehicle body, by a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A workpiece conveyance system conveys a workpiece W from an opening 2 of a vehicle body 1 conveyed by a vehicle body conveyance device to a predetermined position of the vehicle body 1, includes a workpiece conveyance device having a gripping device for gripping the workpiece W, an assist conveyance device for reducing weights of the workpiece and a gripping means and conveying the workpiece W while assisting external force applied to the workpiece, and objects to be guided having a predetermined relative positional relationship with the gripped workpiece W, and includes guides 70, 80 which are attachable/detachable to the vehicle body or the vehicle body conveyance device, are extended from the opening to the predetermined position, and allow the objects to be guided 43, 44 to slide therein, and the workpiece is conveyed from the opening 2 to the predetermined position as the objects to be guided 43, 44 are guided by the guide while sliding therein. |
