PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a focus adjustment device capable of properly performing a focus adjustment of an optical system.SOLUTION: A focus adjustment device includes: a first drive part 36 for driving a focus adjustment lens 32 when imaging a still image; a second drive part 36 for driving the focus adjustment lens 32 when a half-depression operation of a release button is performed when imaging a moving image; a third drive part 36 for driving the focus adjustment lens 32 when the half-depression of the release button is not performed when imaging the moving image; and a control part 21 for controlling a driving speed of the focus adjustment lens 32 driven by the first drive part 36, the second drive part 36, and the third drive part 36. The control part 21 sets the driving speed of the focus adjustment lens 32 driven by the first drive part 36, the second drive part 36, and the third drive part 36 to satisfy a relation in a following formula (1), in an image surface travel speed: (the driving speed of the focus adjustment lens driven by the first drive part)>(the driving speed of the focus adjustment lens driven by the second drive part)>(the driving speed of the focus adjustment lens driven by the third drive part)...(1). |
