PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silent chain capable of assuring quietness.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a silent chain in which several link plates 61 having a pair of teeth formed at an inner circumference side and having a pair of pin holes are arranged in series in a power transmitting direction and plural link plates are arranged side-by-side in thickness direction and connected by connector pins 62 inserted into the pin holes, many auxiliary link plates 63 having no teeth, formed with linear or arc guide surface 63a at its inner circumferential side and having a pair of pin holes into which each of connector pins 62 is inserted and passed are arranged in series at the outermost side in a thickness direction of the several arranged link plates and in a power transmitting direction, an inner circumference side of each of the auxiliary link plates 63 is formed with overlapped portions 64A, 64B overlapped on the inner circumference side of the adjoining auxiliary link plate 63 in its thickness direction so as to make guide surfaces 63a continuous in the power transmitting direction. |
